Biography
(只提供英文版)

  • Chair Professor of Chemistry and Photovoltaic Technology in Department of Chemistry at City University of Hong Kong
  • Research interests center on the fundamental mechanisms, device architectures, and practical applications of perovskite electronics
  • RFS project — aims to devise a comprehensive strategy for flexible perovskite electronics by integrating fundamental research, material innovation, and real-world applications. First, it will examine crack formation and propagation in metal halide perovskites under mechanical stress, employing theoretical simulations to optimize composition and processing. Innovative linking molecules will be introduced to mitigate cracking during bending. Next, the project will evaluate fracture energy at interfaces between perovskite and charge transport layers and designs novel interfacial materials to enhance mechanical resilience and device longevity. Building on these findings, small-area flexible perovskite solar cells will be fabricated and optimized to exceed 25% power conversion efficiency with robust mechanical stability. Various substrates and encapsulation methods will be explored to improve large-area device durability to meet commercialization standards. Finally, the work will integrate flexible perovskite solar cells with lithium-ion batteries, targeting over 20% overall system efficiency for portable energy harvesting and storage. By addressing mechanical and stability challenges and advancing design strategies for perovskite materials and interfaces, this research will pave the way for reliable, high-performance flexible electronics and next-generation energy solutions.
