In recognition of Professor Christina Wong's exceptional contributions to environmental management, particularly in environmental governance, green service operations, and green supply chain management, we are honored to present the RGC Senior Research Fellow to Professor Wong.
Professor Wong's research has advanced our understanding of supply chain collaboration and efforts for green sourcing, environmentally responsible product and packaging design, reverse logistics management, cleaner production, and recycling with aim to find solutions for firms be sustainable in their operations. This work highlights the importance of infrastructure, such as systems integration and information sharing, in supporting sustainable practices across supply chains. Professor Wong’s research has also shown how services can address environmental and social issues by enabling waste reduction, prolonging product life cycles, and motivating consumers to engage in sustainable behaviors. These findings underscore the positive environmental and economic impacts of firms’ operations and their influence on quality of life. Professor Wong's work in environmental governance has guided firms toward achieving desirable environmental outcomes through policy development and norm establishment. The proposed research on circular economy governance will provide insights into resource conservation for sustaining the environment, social development, and economic growth. With the funding support from RGC, Professor Wong and her team will carry out a series of studies with aim to generate managerial insights into circular economy governance.
