Biography
- Associate Professor in Department of Biomedical Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong
- Research focuses on the development of MRI-detectable biomaterials and frontier molecular imaging approaches to facilitate clinical translations of cancer theranostics and early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease
- RFS project — to develop a totally non-invasive multiparametric neuroimaging approach based on CEST-MRI using natural glucose to assess glymphatic function. The aim is to apply CEST-MRI to detect early pathological changes in the brain related to AD. Moreover, we will examine the sensitivity of CEST-MRI in detecting AD treatments. This completely non-invasive and cost-effective neuroimaging approach supports frequent assessments, which could provide a new avenue for early AD diagnosis and treatment monitoring
- Awards and Honours:
- RGC Research Fellow (2022)
- ISMRM Magna Cum Laude Merit Award (2020)
- Young Investigator Award (2018)
