Biography
- Professor in Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong
- Research interests include multimedia computing, intelligent signal processing, and information security
- RFS project — aims to develop innovative and scientifically sound theories, technologies and approaches to enhance the perceptual experience of visual AIGC. These technologies have the potential to transform how visual AIGC is generated, processed, distributed, and presented across communication networks, ultimately improving everyday perceptual experiences in different application sectors.
- Awards and Honours:
- RGC Research Fellow (2025)
- IEEE ISCAS Grand Challenge of Neural Network Video Coding, Winner (2024)
- The IEEE Multimedia Rising Star Award (2021)
Project Title
- Improving the Perceptual Experience of Visual Content Generated by AI
Award Citation
The RFS project led by Professor Wang aims to develop innovative and scientifically sound theories, technologies and approaches to enhance the perceptual experience of visual AIGC. These technologies have the potential to transform how visual AIGC is generated, processed, distributed, and presented across communication networks, ultimately improving everyday perceptual experiences in different application sectors.
