鄭子劍教授目前是香港理工大學紡織及服裝學係教授,智能穿戴系統研究院副院長,及材料與器件中心實驗室副院長。鄭教授2003年於清華大學獲得化工學士學位,2007年於劍橋大學獲得化學博士學位(導師:Wilhelm T. S. Huck教授),2008-2009在美國西北大學國際納米中心Chad A. Mirkin教授課題組從事博士後研究員工作。2009年加入香港理工大學任職助理教授,2013年提職終身副教授,2017年提職教授。其科研興趣包括表面及高分子科學、納米製造、柔性穿戴電子、能源轉換及儲備。其中,被廣泛認可的原創性研究成果包括纖維金屬材料、應用於可拉伸穿戴的透氣電子、高性能柔性光電電極材料及其器件、纖維基超級電容器及電池。鄭教授在《科學》、《自然材料》《自然通訊》《先進材料》等高影響的國際期刊發表論文140余篇,在國際會議上做邀請報告150餘次。他是《先進材料》和《Small》的客座編輯,是Wiley出版社聚焦綠色能源與環境旗艦期刊《EcoMat》的主編,是《先進能原材料》和《npj柔性電子》的編輯委員會成員。鄭教授還撰寫了25項專利,並獲得超過15個學術獎項。他是香港青年科學院創院科學家,及中國教育部長江講座教授。
