  • Professor and Head of History at Hong Kong Baptist University
  • Expert in Chinese history with a particular focus on women, gender, childhood, and the elderly.
  • Track record in securing research funding, leading collaborative projects, delivering different forms of presentations, and crystalizing research findings in publications.
  • She is of the view that efforts of restoring women, children, and the elderly to history will lead to a more liberal and inclusive reading of the human past.  She has been invited to contribute two autobiographical essays to volumes published in the US and China.
