黃聿畢業於復旦大學上海醫學院,1988年在英國劍橋大學獲得博士學位,之後在美國佛蒙特大學和加州大學洛杉磯分校進行博士后研究。黃聿現為香港中文大學生物醫學A3教授,心腦血管研究所所長。他長期致力於心血管領域的研究。他曾任三屆亞洲血管生物學會主席(2010-2018),現任國際心臟研究學會中國分會副主席,中國血管醫學專委會副主任委員,中國病理生理學會理事,以及國際基礎與臨床藥理學聯合會受體命名和藥物分類委員會的通訊委員。他兼任17份SCI期刊的編輯, 副主編和編委,包括美國心臟學會的<循环研究> 在亞洲區的副主編。 2019年他被推選為國際心臟研究學會首批中國籍會士之一。他曾獲得香港裘槎基金會裘槎優秀科研者獎,中國國家自然科學獎二等獎,以及教育部高等學校科學研究優秀成果獎 (2019年度自然科學獎一等獎, 2017年度二等獎)。他的團隊目前正在努力揭示運動對肥胖和糖尿病動物的血管保護作用的新分子機制和信號交互調節。旨在尋找運動期間促進器官間功能聯繫的信號蛋白和代謝產物並且將它們研發成有診斷意義的生物標誌物以及針對心血管和代謝性疾病的有效治療靶點。
